Malta is an excellent destination for learning English in a language school. More than 50 schools are listed in Malta, and there is something for all preferences and budgets. Some language schools may, however, be more suited for teenagers or college students, while others will cater more for professionals or adults.

- Budget
Prices can vary, some schools being three time more expensive than others. The range of courses, teaching material and the reputation of the school will be contributing factors in the overall price. Be careful, however. Just because a school is expensive does not mean that it is of superior quality.

- Location
Depending on your circumstances and requirements, it is important to choose the geographical area in which you want to attend a school and plan any trips. Most school, however, are located in the St. Julian’s and Sliema areas. - Package
You will need to decide of which course and package best suits your objectives. Schools offer both general and intensive courses. Some offer specialised lessons such as business English, conversation skills, or specific skills for adults aged 30 and over.
All-inclusive packages (including courses, accommodation, transport and activities) are also offered for young children and teenagers who can learn English during school holidays in these short programs which last from 1 to 2 weeks.

Each school offers its own type of accommodation: Residence, shared apartment, studio or even a host family. - Requirements
Choose the school that suits you according to its teaching methods, whether premises are modern, and the courses available. A language stay is an investment, and the school you choose will have to live up to your expectations. - Accreditations
Accreditations are guarantees of quality to ensure schools are ranked and regulated. They guarantee, in particular, the quality of teaching as well as the teaching methods, tools and premises. We recommend that you be cautious about those schools that are not validated by the EFL (English Foreign Language) Ministry of Education Supervisory Board, which is responsible for overseeing the professional standards of language schools in Malta and Gozo.
