For lunch or dinner delivery, there are plenty of choices! Some restaurants deliver themselves, but they usually use delivery service providers such as Uber Eat.

Time to eat is the leading provider of food delivery in Malta. Plenty of restaurants use its services, and you can order any time of day, depending on the restaurant opening times.

Malta Menu was established in 2019 and is now one of Malta’s most popular delivery services. There you will find a wide selection of restaurants, and the site is very easy to use.

Minimum Order: From €1 to €45 depending on the restaurant

Delivery area: Depending on the restaurant

Pros: Special offers are available daily for select restaurants: 15% off, or even offers such as 2 for 1. You can order on their website without having to download an app.

Bolt Food

If you have ever dreamed of having your McDonald’s delivered to you, Bolt Food makes it possible. Equivalent to Uber Eats, the VTC brand has expanded and now offers meal deliveries in Malta. You must download the Bolt Food application to order.

Delivery cost: Varies by restaurant; typically costs between €2 and €3.

Minimum Order: Generally, there’s no minimum amount, but additional charges may be added for small orders.

Delivery area: Mainly the east coast, from Saint Julian’s to Valletta, and to Birkirkara or Naxxar.

Pros: Speedy delivery times, regular special offers (free deliver, 10% on burgers…)

Wolt

The biggest competitor for Bolt Food. You can order on their website or via their application at any time of the day.

Delivery cost: Varies by restaurant. Usually free with a minimum amount spent (approximately €10, depending on restaurants)

Minimum Order: Usually no minimum amount. Additional delivery costs are added for small orders.

Delivery area: Mainly the east coast

Online Eats

Online eats is the new-comer in the food delivery industry in Malta. The list of restaurants is still pretty small, but the company is constantly expanding its options.

Delivery cost: Varies by restaurant.

Minimum Order: Varies by restaurant; can be up to more than €40, depending on your delivery area and restaurant.

Delivery area: Main cities in the east.

Zaype

Zaype is a new kind of platform, which allows you to order your meals for delivery, but also offers all kinds of ancillary services, either on their website or on the application.

Delivery cost: From €0 to €10, depending on the establishment

Minimum Order: From €0 to over €40, depending on the establishment

Delivery area: Depending on service providers

Pros: Also provides delivery of games, wines, groceries, flowers, Organic baskets and even beauty products.

Delivify

In the same vein as Zaype, Delivify offers food deliveries in Malta, as well as beauty products and groceries. The brand only offers its services via their application which needs to be downloaded.

Grocery deliveries

If you do not have a car and need to do your weekly shopping, you should know that supermarkets offer door-to-door delivery. The service is free for a minimum purchases of around €50, depending on which supermarket you order from, with some of them even offering a free pack of water.

Fruit and vegetables deliveries

If you want to eat quality local fruits and vegetables, you can use a home delivery service.

Vincent Eco Estate

Providing local and organic products. They will deliver a box with the amount and type you want (about €15 to €25), with your choice of fruit and vegetables. The contents of the box varies weekly according to production. Their big advantage is that all their products are organic!

Vincent Eco Estate is located in Mgarr, and offers group activities to showcase eco-responsible and organic culture.

Mgarr farms

Although their products are not organic, Mgarr Farms is probably the most famous in Malta. They have a wide range of products, and you will find everything you need to cook quality seasonal dishes. Most of the products on offer are locally produced, with some imported fruits and vegetables which cannot be grown in Malta. A basket of fruit and vegetables is roughly €25, but should you prefer, you have the option to buy your items individually.

Home delivery can be done in Malta and Gozo on Mondays, Fridays, and Saturdays.

Barbuto

Barbuto is a Sicilian producer, offering organic fruit and vegetables, as well as olive oil, beer, and grocery products. They deliver everywhere in Malta, but not yet in Gozo. You can choose to pick up your purchase at a collection point (free of charge) or have your order delivered to your home (from €4.50). Note, however, that delivery fees may vary, depending on the amount of the order.

Ma Petite France

Ma Petite France is a French online grocery store, offering and delivering products from France. These products come from small producers and include cold cuts, cheese and even terrines. Deliveries usually take from 1 to 2 days to Malta, and the shipping costs are free with a €150 minimum purchase.

My French Market

In the same vein as Ma Petite France, you will find a plethora of French products, such as sausages, artisanal jars, cassoulet, homemade jam, mustard and rillettes.

Shipping costs in Europe are fixed – €8.50.

French Apero

French Apero is based in Malta and run by French expatriates. The concept? Delivery of quality French sausages and pâté from local producers in France.

Delivery is free with a minimum purchase of 3 sausages! (covering the area from Saint Julian’s to Ta’Xbiex).
