The aim of your visit
Are you in Malta simply to relax and enjoy the sun? Or rather to visit the island and do as many activities as possible in a short space of time?
If you intend to relax, we advise you to avoid the east of the island and look for resorts outside of the most frequented areas of Malta. Choose places like Mdina, Attard, Mellieha or even Gozo. This way you will avoid those areas with the greatest concentration of tourists.
If your objective is to explore the islands, we recommend you book a hotel in the east of the island. Why? You will have easy access to all forms of transportation on the island and you will reduce travel times. In addition, being closer to Valletta makes it easier for you to travel to Gozo, since your “hotel – ferry” trip will be much faster.
